Alex Guaraldi, founder of CopperSound Pedals, joins Matt and Dave to give an update on the company and dig into the new Foxcatcher V2. CopperSound Pedals is a boutique pedal maker based in Massachusetts, founded in 2014. They offer both finished pedals and DIY kits, and have worked with artists such as Jack White (on the Triplegraph pedal) among others. They’re known for designing pedals that give guitarists flexible tone options and creative possibilities. (And yes, they mean business when it comes to tone.)

The Foxcatcher V2 is the updated version of their Blues breaker style overdrive pedal. It gives you three gain settings (Low for clean boost/subtle grit; Medium for the classic overdrive crunch; High for more saturated lead tones) and a three way shape switch to control the low end response (fattens up or tightens the low end depending on your guitar and amp). It also features an expanded tone control for finer high end sparkle adjustment, SMART Bypass Technology (so you can switch between momentary and latching footswitch modes, with a failsafe bypass if power is lost) and flexible power options (9 V, 12 V or 18 V) so you can adjust headroom and dynamic character. These features mean the Foxcatcher V2 adapts easily from studio to stage, and from subtle warmth to aggressive lead tones.
