What exactly is a flanger? When an audio signal is duplicated and one of the copies is slightly delayed compared to the other, magic happens. The sum of these two signals creates a "comb filter" effect, where certain frequencies are amplified or attenuated, producing mesmerising harmonic series. By tweaking the delay time using an oscillator, the range of frequencies affected by the filter shifts, creating that distinctive swirling sensation that defines flangers.

The Krozz Devices Airborn, takes it a step further by reintroducing the effect's output back into its input, a process called "feedback." This amplifies the peaks and valleys of the comb filter, intensifying the tonal transformations. The feedback can be positive or negative, offering you two distinct sonic landscapes. • LEVEL: Take control of the effect volume. Airborn's innovative design not only prevents any volume loss but also lets you go beyond unity gain, delivering a powerful boost to your signal.
• RANGE: Explore the frequency range over which the modulation will sweep. Dial it down for a tighter, more traditional flanger sound. Crank it up clockwise, and you will unleash a wider sweep with deeper, mind bending effects. The choice is yours!
• RATE: Set the speed at which the frequency range will be swept, determined by the "Range" control. Turn it clockwise for lightning fast oscillations that will make your guitar scream and soar. Rotate it counter clockwise for slower, dreamy sweeps reminiscent of soaring jet planes.
• FEEDBACK: Take charge of the effect's intensity with the Feedback knob. Increase it, and you will dive deeper into a swirling vortex of sound. Push it close to maximum, and you might even experience the self oscillation that adds an extra touch of magic to your playing.
