Description

The Nucleo Reverb is Cornerstone Music Gear’s first signature pedal, created in collaboration with YouTubing guitarist educator Paul Davids. It is a stereo digital reverb pedal that brings cinematic soundscapes, granular textures, pitch shifted atmospheres and ambient pads to guitar and bass setups. Every feature, from its deep decay to Freeze and MIDI functions, is designed to inspire creative exploration.

Sonically, the Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo can summon everything from a tight lo fi room to an immense reactor style echo chamber. With reverb modes called Room, Hall and Reactor, plus three voicing options (Normal, Vintage and Lo‑Fi), players can dial in classic reflections, lush shimmer or haunting, cavernous ambience. Add the three sliders, Modulation (Mod), Air (a shimmering upper harmonic layer) and Flux (random, evolving motion) and textures become alive under the strings. With decay times up to 90 seconds, even sustained chords bloom into evolving pads that expand with each performance.

Playing through Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo is immersive. The Freeze footswitch captures and sustains current reverb trails indefinitely, letting a guitarist or bassist layer sounds on top or build ambient beds around chords. Engage Freeze Pitch to shift the frozen sound for dreamy transitions or new tonal colours. There’s also a latch mode for smooth changes between chords or notes while Frozen. The intuitive top panel layout, Reactor size, Blend, Decay, Tone and Freeze level, makes immediate tweaks feel natural underfoot or hand.

The controls are both musical and versatile. The Reactor dial adjusts reverb scale from intimate room bounce to atmospheric Reactor reflections. The Blend knob balances dry and wet signal with clarity. Three accessible sliders give real time control over modulation rate (Mod), shimmer texture (Air/pitch) and unpredictable movement (Flux). Decay, Tone and Freeze Volume/Pitch allow precise tailoring of tail length, brightness and frozen character. Everything responds to touch and playing dynamics, making it feel like an instrument in itself.

Under the hood, the Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo’s digital architecture is powered by a capable Cortex‑M7 engine, supporting full MIDI control, up to 128 presets can be accessed via MIDI, alongside three onboard patches for stage or studio use. Connect via USB C for firmware updates or to use the pedal as a USB audio interface; no computer, no hassle. Stereo TRS input and transformer isolated stereo outputs ensure noise free performance and seamless integration into complex rigs.

Cornerstone Music Gear built the Nucleo into a rugged all metal chassis, compact enough for pedalboard layouts yet durable for the road. Jack and DC input placement is thoughtful: stereo input and outputs, MIDI in/out in 3.5 mm format, and USB‑C and DC power situated for tidy cable routing and minimal board clutter. The sturdy footswitches offer solid tactile feel, with clear effect on and preset LEDs that give instant visual feedback during performance. True bypass circuitry preserves tone and clarity when Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo is off, ensuring your signal remains pristine.

Graphically, the Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo draws from its reactor inspiration, bold reactor style typeface and simple layout create an evocative visual of sonic power and space, while remaining intuitive to use in low light stage or studio environments.

Power LED and preset indicators are easy to see, letting players know immediately if the effect is on and which patch is active. The freeze LED provides feedback during ambient layering, and MIDI status indicators show patch changes instantly.

Jack placement (stereo in, stereo out, MIDI jacks) and DC input are thoughtfully positioned to sit well on a board and not interfere with surrounding pedals. USB‑C is accessible at the top edge, making firmware updates or DAW recording easy without awkward cable bending.

In summary, the Cornerstone Music Gear Nucleo reverb pedal stands out as a deeply expressive ambient tool, not just a reverb, but a palette of texture, movement and tone. It offers epic decay, hands on creative control, MIDI recall and USB audio capability, all within a road ready metal shell. Perfect for ambient, experimental, post rock or atmospheric players, Nucleo is a powerful signature pedal that honours Paul Davids’ exploration while offering players an inspiring new voice.
