Description

The Black Fuzz Phrase LTD by JAM Pedals is a limited edition germanium fuzz pedal built around a remarkable stash of NOS OC44 Philips black glass transistors, dated April 1969. These rare transistors, sourced from the final days of germanium production at Philips’ French facilities, are revered for their exceptionally low leakage, stable and musical gain, and low noise, ideal qualities for capturing the raw, characterful fuzz tones of the late 1960s. Each transistor is hand tested and matched by ear, ensuring tonal balance and responsiveness in every pedal.

This fuzz offers a thick, harmonically rich sound with a classic vintage rasp. It can shift easily between saturated, woolly chords and singing lead tones, while retaining excellent note definition.
