Description

The OKKO FX Diablo Dual is a dual channel analogue overdrive designed for guitarists and bass players who want expressive, amp-like drive from low gain boost through to rich mid gain textures. Building on the original Diablo circuit that earned a loyal following over the past two decades, the OKKO FX Diablo Dual version adds a fully independent second channel, making it equally at home on stage or in the studio. It suits everything from blues, classic rock and indie through to heavier styles where clarity and note separation still matter.

Tonally, the OKKO FX Diablo Dual is known for its super clear, chimey yet punchy character. It retains tight and defined low end, offers plenty of usable mids, and avoids the congested feel common to many overdrives. It works particularly well with clean amps, adding drive and harmonic detail without masking the natural voice of the amplifier. With the right settings it can move from a cleanish boost to a raw, almost fuzzy edge, all while maintaining articulation with single coils, humbuckers and even bass pickups.

The feel of the OKKO FX Diablo Dual is where it truly stands out. A carefully voiced gain structure and adjustable internal headroom allow players to control compression, attack and punch. FEED shapes how much low frequency content enters the gain stage, helping to keep neck pickups tight and defined. BODY adds bass and low mids while subtly affecting gain structure, giving anything from lean bite to thicker drive tones. A three position INPUT mini switch (normal, low gain, top boost) tailors the sensitivity of the input stage to different guitars, and the MIDS switch shifts the tone control’s frequency focus to better match a range of amplifiers.
