Description

The Snow Day Delay by Summer School Electronics is a powerful, versatile delay pedal that brings creative freedom to any rig. As the brand's first time based effect, the Summer School Electronics Snow Day Delay combines two independent PT2399 delay chips, allowing players to switch between two distinct delay settings or run them simultaneously for a wealth of sonic options. With four unique delay modes, the Summer School Electronics Snow Day Delay can deliver anything from crisp digital echoes to warm, saturated tones and even dynamic, percussive soundscapes.

In its standard mode, with the toggle switch down, each delay setting offers up to 600ms of delay time. This makes the Summer School Electronics Snow Day Delay perfect for setting two specific delay times tailored to different sections of a song or allowing players to move seamlessly between delay times without relying on tap tempo. Users can set one delay to a favourite time, while adjusting the second to add rhythmic or ambient effects, and return instantly to the original setting at the tap of a footswitch. For extra experimentation, increase the Repeat knob to create oscillating, spaceship like tones.

Activating Blizzard Mode (toggle switch up) adds even more character. With the yellow light on, both delay chips run at the same time, controlled by Delay 2, creating a richly coloured sound as the echoes begin to clip, adding warmth and depth to each repeat. With the blue light engaged, the delay chips operate in parallel with separate timings for a blend of rhythmic patterns and cavernous echoes. Switch effortlessly between these two Blizzard Mode settings, opening up endless textures for both ambient and rhythmic styles.

The Summer School Electronics Snow Day Delay is crafted for ease of use, featuring intuitive controls: Mix adjusts the volume of the repeats, Repeat controls the duration, and Delay 1 and Delay 2 allow precise time settings for each delay. Housed in a durable metal enclosure with hand built craftsmanship in Syracuse, NY, this delay pedal is as rugged as it is functional. The striking graphics, bright power indicator, and easy access footswitch make it a standout both visually and practically. Built with true bypass, the Summer School Electronics Snow Day Delay preserves your tone when disengaged, ensuring a clean signal chain.

This 9 volt, centre negative analog pedal is designed for serious players, with top mounted jacks for easy board integration. The Snow Day Delay offers long term reliability backed by Summer School Electronics’ commitment to quality. In summary, the Snow Day Delay is a flexible, feature rich delay pedal that combines classic delay sounds with creative, experimental possibilities, making it a unique addition to any pedalboard.
