Description

The Tubesteader Eggnog is a single channel tube overdrive and preamp pedal inspired by the iconic yellow patterned amplifiers from 1950s Fullerton. It uses a 12AX7 tube running at high voltage (250VDC) to capture the feel and breakup of a low powered Tweed amp. The result is an overtly American preamp circuit that can transform any clean amplifier into a raspy box of vintage Fendery goodness.

The always on MOSFET gain stage pushes the tube, nudging your guitar towards the spongy, saggy character of old amps under stress. For extra power, the second footswitch activates the Boost level knob, giving you control over how hard the tube is driven.
