Description 

The Vemuram Myriad Fuzz is a hybrid silicon and germanium fuzz pedal developed in collaboration with Josh Smith, designed to deliver a wide range of expressive fuzz tones while preserving the character of your guitar and amplifier. Originally created as part of Josh Smith’s larger Myriad pedal, the fuzz circuit proved so distinctive and versatile that it was released as a standalone unit. It is equally at home in blues, rock, fusion and modern session work, offering everything from classic Fuzz Face-style textures to more assertive, cutting fuzz tones that sit confidently in a live mix. 

Sonically, the Myriad Fuzz blends the attack and presence of selected silicon transistors with the warmth and organic response of vintage-style germanium. It can move from spitty, aggressive fuzz to smooth, almost overdrive-like sustain with impressive headroom and volume on tap. The Vemuram Myriad Fuzz cleans up exceptionally well from the guitar’s volume control, responding dynamically to picking strength and touch. Whether used into a clean amplifier for bold, harmonically rich saturation or pushing an already driven amp, it retains clarity and musical detail across the fretboard. 

In terms of feel, the Vemuram Myriad Fuzz is highly interactive yet intuitive. It responds quickly to subtle changes in playing dynamics, making it easy to shape expressive lead tones or textured rhythm parts. The transition between silicon bite and germanium smoothness is natural and musical, encouraging experimentation without ever feeling unpredictable. The Feel control alters the interaction and character between the silicon and germanium elements, shifting the response from tighter, more aggressive tones towards softer, warmer textures. A rear-accessible germanium bias trimmer allows fine adjustment of the transistor behaviour to suit different guitars, pickups and climates, offering further refinement of attack, compression and sustain.

The pedal is housed in Vemuram’s distinctive solid brass enclosure. Brass is chosen not only for its striking appearance but also for its shielding properties, helping to reduce unwanted noise.
